We are Participating in the People's Climate March - So Should You!

We are participating in the
People's Climate March
and so should you.

On April 29th citizens across the United States and the rest of the world will be marching, demonstrating and standing up for our planet. Supporting clean energy jobs and calling for a just future for all. Be part of a global movement by joining more than a million people around the globe as we fight for a cleaner, healthier future. The largest march will be in Washington DC, as it should be. That is where Donald Trump and his Republican allies are rolling back environmental regulations that scientists and citizens know were not even enough.

DIY Activism - Post Flyers in Your Neighborhood and Share Online

HELP US SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE HUDSON VALLEY PEOPLE'S CLIMATE MARCH!

Below are links to DIY graphics that can be printed on regular letter size paper, in either color or black and white. Print out some and post them in your neighborhood, campus or local shops.
There are also graphics that can be shared on line and even a profile size/scale one. To make this event what it should be, we need everyone pulling together to promote it.

Stand together to stop Trump's roll back of environmental regulations. Stop the fossil fuel pipelines. Stop the crude oil bomb trains. Stop the assault on the environment. Save the Planet!

Hudson Valley People's Climate - Sister March in Hudson NY

Please join us for the

Hudson Valley People's Climate Sister March Hudson NY.

On the same day that hundreds of thousands of people will descend on Washington DC to fight for the planet, Hudson NY will be the site of the
Hudson Valley People's Climate March & Rally.

The event is being organized by a coalition of individuals involved with local Indivisible, Resistance and Environmental groups in the Upper Hudson Valley and is being co-sponsored with Basilica Hudson which opens their 2017 Season with 24-HOUR DRONE: EXPERIMENTS IN SOUND AND MUSIC, their quintessentially Hudson music festival.

So if you can't make it to DC, what better place to rally and march for the planet, than the city named after the great Hudson River?

The Rally - 11am
The Hudson Valley People's Climate Sister March will begin with a rally in the Public Square (aka 7th Street Park) in the center of Hudson. The rally will feature speakers from a variety of environmental activists including those involved in environmental justice, open space, sustainable farming, clean water and more.

The March - 12 Noon
After the rally, the march will step off and head down historic Warren Street toward the river. We are encouraging people to bring signs and other visuals. The national march is encouraging people to produce signage and visuals that are circles to represent the planet and the circles of resistance that we see everywhere in the nation. DRONE-y sounds -- such as wordless voices, kazoos, recorders, flutes, portable keyboards, bag pipes -- are encouraged, as is thematic dress. Think Climate, think Planet, think cosmic DRONE! The march route will take Warren Street to the end, turn left on Front Street pass the train station and will end up at Basilica Hudson with their 24-HOUR DRONE festival will have just begun.

The Meet Up - 1pm
When marchers arrive at Basilica they are encouraged to meet under their huge solar array, located behind the Kite's Nest building, adjacent to the railroad tracks and the L&B building. The array will be stocked with information by representatives of local and regional environmental groups There will be a few speakers who will address the crowd and the event will finish with people having a chance to exchange ideas, meet their fellow activists and get more involved.

NOT READY TO HAVE IT END THERE? The DRONE Continues
24-HOUR DRONE will already be in progress having started at noon, and marchers are invited to do both!
March for the Planet then get your DRONE on.

Limited 24-HOUR DRONE tickets will be available at the door, or available for purchase in advance online HERE.

Nicole LoBue of Alimentary Kitchen will be serving a planet-healthy lunch for purchase on site.

Donald Trump is a threat to the future of our planet, the safety of our communities, and the health of our families.

The new administration has attacked the hard-won protections of our climate, health, and communities, and the rights of people of color, workers, indigenous people, immigrants, women, LGBTQIA, young people, and more.

We've fought back with a wave of protests larger than at almost any other point in history — let's make sure that we mark the 100th day of his presidency with another mass action that stands up for our communities.

So let's march and rally together for the Planet.

Join us on Saturday April 29th at 11am at Hudson NY's Public Square (aka 7th Street Park).
